March 2026 - Set up a charging station this month!

Has this ever happened to you? You grab your phone only to find out it is dying on you. You scour the house looking for a charger because you know your teenager has long since lost his and you now have to search for yours under the piles of junk in his room. Or maybe you settle in for a little time with your iPad while you watch TV and discover it’s going to need a charge soon.

A charging station provides an easy solution for these frustrating scenarios and once you set one up, you’ll wonder what you ever did without it.

To start, you have to decide on how many electronics you want/need to be charged. Once you come up with a number, you may do a Google search for charging stations and have a variety of styles show up.

Do you want to select one that is leather so that it goes with your office supplies in your office setting? Do you want it to be colorful, so it’s easy for your kids to pick it out?

Think about the best placement for it. Where do you want your charging station to go? Some families have it near the garage service door so it’s the last thing that you pick up leaving for work or school. Other families like having it in the kitchen. But that depends on how much counter space you have and if you are willing to give some of it up.

The nice thing about not having it in your child’s room is it forces the electronic to be plugged in outside the room, so it helps that your child doesn’t get that text at 3am in the morning from their friends.
